I help my clients buy and sell residential, rural (acreages), commercial, recreational, investment and international properties.  I have very flexible hours and am willing to go that extra mile to help you find the property that you need or to sell your home.  I can help connect you to a variety of services that will assist you in all aspects of sales, home ownership, home improvement and construction. I will do my best to ensure that all your needs are taken care of.

As you will read below, I have had diverse work and life experiences, which means I can relate to most people and understand their needs.  I am a patient and effective listener and particularly understand the needs of families when buying or selling a home.

My Early Years

I was born and raised in Red Deer. My parents moved from Northern Saskatchewan so that my father could work as a roughneck in the newly discovered oilfields of Central Alberta. Red Deer became the hub of the oil service industry so it became a permanent home for my family.

I moved away for university and career opportunities and have lived in Calgary, Victoria and Whitehorse – but I have always ended up back in Central Alberta.

Career

I have worked in many careers including construction and the oilfield services industry. When I lived in Whitehorse, I spent almost a year managing property and was involved in new home sales.

I became homesick for Central Alberta and ended up moving back and entering the teaching profession. I had a very successful career in education as a teacher and administrator in the Red Deer Catholic School Division for twenty-two years.

Most recently I was an owner and operator of a concrete supply and construction company in Red Deer.

Hobbies and Interests

As an educator I had summers off so I would buy old houses and renovate them for resale. Through this hobby (and my work experience in construction and in property management) I developed a love for real estate and property development. I have always wanted to get back into the industry.

I have traveled to over 50 countries worldwide and love all sports – especially outside activities like fishing, hiking and camping.

My career and travel experiences have given me a strong background in dealing with different types of people and helping meet their needs. My construction experience has given me a solid background in the housing industry from a builder’s perspective.
